The mid-priced Yasei AX Perch Carolina & Texas Rig is specifically designed for bass fishing using American bass setups such as Carolina and Texas rigs.
The slim lightweight blank has a fast action to maximise casting distance and a highly sensitive fixed tip to improve bite detection and ease fast hook-sets. Perch fishing is gaining popularity and if you are an angler who specialises in this widespread and often underrated species, you will probably know about American bass rigs and how to fish them.
With more options and versatility than the standard jighead/shad combination, modern American softbait setups can be extremely effective and almost addictive to use. But it does help if you have the right rod.
The Yasei AX Perch Carolina & Texas Rig rod is available in two lengths of 2.30m, for excellent casting performance. The casting rod is suitable for setups of 7-20g. To balance the rod perfectly, combine it with a Shimano BFS (Bait Finesse System) baitcasting reel, or 70 size MGL alternatives. The spinning rod is suitable for lighter set-ups of 4-14g.
To balance the rod perfectly, combine it with a Shimano 2000 or 2500 spinning reel. In use, the fast action maximises lightweight casting distances, while the sensitive fixed tip enhances the softest of bites, giving you every chance to hit the most delicate takes, especially in winter when fish move more slowly.
The excellent sensitivity and speed of the Yasei AX Perch Carolina & Texas Rig lures comes from the High Modulus Full Carbon blank, built using Hi-Power X technology and Nano Alloy. This reduces the twist of the blank when casting and playing fish, and improves sensitivity from tip to hand.
To further enhance finesse and overall performance, the rods are equipped with the latest Fuji Alconite K-type guide eyes that are lightweight and suitable for fine-diameter braids used for bass. In keeping with the high-quality design, a Fuji TVS reel holder is mounted on the custom-made EVA handle with split grip, giving this rod a modern, eye-catching look to match its brilliant fishing performance.
