At Van Den Eynde we have developed a special appetite stimulator (additive) called BS20. The name stands for the references to the most commonly caught fish, namely: Brasem and Skimmers. During testing, this product proved to be a versatile product suitable for all types of fishing (Feeder, Method and Pole). BS20 is an appetite stimulator that gives us humans almost no taste. The product has really been developed in the field of fish detection. BS20 works very well with some of our additives in a 1 -1 ratio: Brasem T, Vanilla, Strawberry, Banana (1 part BS20 = 1 part of the mentioned additives) and with Brasem caramel and Big Fish you better use 1 to 2. Be careful with other appetite stimulants or herbal/spicy products, we saw that the effect of BS20 on the above products was clearly less effective in the test phase. Think of line fishing etc. The test results show that more larger specimens were caught in mixes with BS20 in them. It can sometimes take a while for the fish to settle, but once they are there.

BS20 can be used all year round, but the best results were achieved in the warmer periods. We also noted that BS20 had a good association with rather sweet products such as Record Sweet compared to salty products such as Record Silver.

Our test results also showed that BS20 worked significantly better on slow moving and still (lake) water. The product certainly works on canals, but you need to be careful with canals that often have to deal with inflowing brackish water.
