The mid-priced Yasei AX Dropshot rods have brilliant extra-fast action, specially designed to maximise the efficiency of your dropshot fishing.

Beautifully balanced and with some of the most sensitive tips available to maximise bite detection, the lower part of the rods have the backbone needed to strike at the slightest touch with rapier-like speed.

Shimano has a long history of making high-quality dropshot rods and the Yasei AX Dropshot is no exception.

From the ultra-sensitive tip that can detect the softest pulls and underwater features, to the powerful butt that enhances strike speed, every detail has been carefully developed to give you optimum performance.

Available in two lengths, the 2.10m Medium Light version has a casting weight of 5-18g, suitable for close work and around bridges or obstacles, while the longer 2.40m Medium version has a casting weight of 7-21g and is more suitable for further fishing in open water or where there is more current.

Both models will perfectly balance a 2000 or 2500 reel and give you a combination that any street fishing expert would be proud to use. The excellent sensitivity of the Yasei AX Dropshot comes from the solid TAFTEC tip, an exclusive Shimano technology.

This allows finer, more sensitive tips to be used, while maintaining the power needed to tackle hard-fighting fish. The main body of the rod is made of High Modulus Full Carbon blank, built using Hi-Power X technology and Nano Alloy. This reduces the twisting of the blank when casting, providing greater accuracy when fishing tight lines and better control when fighting larger predators.

To further enhance sensitivity and overall performance, the rods are fitted with the latest Fuji Alconite K-type guide eyes that are lightweight and suitable for fine-diameter braids used for bass.

In keeping with the high-quality design, a Fuji reel holder is mounted on the custom-made EVA handle with split grip, giving this series a modern, eye-catching look to match their brilliant fishing performance.
