The Shimano Trout Competition Mono in bright red, available in 150-metre spools, is a supple and soft monofilament line specially developed for trout fishing. This line is known for its excellent casting properties and perfect position on the spool.

The low stretch of the Trout Competition Mono ensures great sensitivity, making every take clearly perceptible. This helps not only in effectively securing the hook, but also in controlling the fish at a distance. The bright red colour of the line makes tracking easy, even in low light. Underwater, however, this colour fades first, which helps to reduce visibility for the fish.
