At Korda, we always strive to improve products that have come onto the market if they do not meet our quality requirements. We are not interested in just selling something because others are doing it too.

Initially, we had no intention of selling micro swivels at all. This stopped, because we suddenly realised that there was room for improvement in this product too, namely the coating. Our Micro rig Swivel has a non-reflective coating and that makes a HUGE difference.

The Micro rig Swivel is perfect for using with the Claw Rig and the very well known D Rig. They offer a much better hooking than the known rings. These rings prevent the hook from rotating completely, which limits the effectiveness of your rig considerably.

Now think about how the bait and hook will end up in the mouth of the carp during the sucking process. The fish then stretches the hook line, which causes the hook point to penetrate the fish's mouth. It is at this stage that it is most important that the hook can rotate. A D rig with a ring, however, will prevent this from happening. The hook is therefore too much hindered when turning, with all the consequences that this entails.

This is why we attach a small hair to the end of the swivel. The hookbait is then pulled over the swivel so far that the underside of the swivel is just visible to the eye. It can now slide unhindered over the D rig or, of course, the shank of the hook. A very ingenious offer.
